Restaurant Staff
A high-end Restaurant and Bar group is seeking a Front of House Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate must reside in Johannesburg and be willing to travel to locations in Pretoria and KwaZulu-Natal. This role is best suited for a single individual who can respond to travel requests on short notice. Proficiency in English and possession of a personal vehicle are required. Only applicants with a minimum of 8 years of experience in restaurant management and strong references will be considered. The candidate should demonstrate comprehensive management skills, capable of overseeing both front-of-house and back-office operations. A solid understanding of liquor cost and inventory management is crucial. Proficiency in cash reconciliation, customer relations, restaurant administration, and opening and closing procedures is necessary. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Gaap POS is essential. The successful candidate should be energetic, passionate, and motivated to achieve success, with the ability to thrive under pressure. Strong staff management and training capabilities are also required. Experience in multi-store management and the entertainment or club sector will be advantageous. The working hours for this position are flexible, so candidates who prefer structured schedules need not apply. Salary 20 – 25 K gross.
