Upmarket Italian Restaurant in the Randburg area is looking for a Head Chef. Looking for individuals with 6+ years relevant chef experience and a formal cooking/culinary arts qualification. Must have experience in an Italian a la carte Restaurant environment, will not consider Hotel chef experience unfortunately. Must be able to coordinate and manage a complete kitchen operation. Duties will include food preparation and food quality control. Looking for someone who is hardworking with a firm management style. Must be skilled in and informed of modern and latest food trends. Will also be responsible for stock and staff management. Suitable applicants must be able to work under pressure. This is a cooking and management role. The position will be on a contract basis.
