Restaurant Staff
Coffee Shop / Bakery group in Jhb is looking for a junior back of house operations manager. The successful candidate will oversee all stock control / stock levels across the group as well as make sure all kitchen procedures are followed as per group standards. Candidates must have 4+ years’ experience in managing multiple unit kitchens in a Restaurant or catering environment. Suitable applicants will have to be very proficient in time management, quality control and problem solving. Extensive knowledge of general Restaurant kitchen operations is required including, stock management, food costings, staff management & training. Applicants must have strong communications and administrative skills with the ability to work under pressure. Looking for a hands-on candidate. Knowledge of various food types and baked goods is essential. The candidate will be the go between the stores and the central kitchen. A good understanding of ideal stock levels is especially important. Must have own car and must be willing to travel between the Jhb east and north areas. Applicants living close to the Bedfordview area will be preferred. Will be expected to work evenings and weekend when required. Salary CTC between R 15 & 20 K per month.
