Food distribution company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee their procurement process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and food sales, with a proven track record of securing competitive deals and maintaining optimal stock levels. This role requires exceptional negotiation skills, strategic planning abilities, and effective communication with food business directors to ensure smooth operations and profitability. Risk Management
Qualifications and skills required:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement management, preferably in the food industry or food distribution sector.
Strong knowledge of food products, market trends, and supplier networks.
Proven negotiation skills with the ability to drive cost savings and value-added benefits.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
Salary R 20 – 30 K nett.
